About
Thomas Herron, DO, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Orthopaedic Surgical Associates. He provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages and athletic backgrounds, specializing in advanced arthroscopic techniques of the knee, shoulder and hip. Dr. Herron also performs hip, knee, and shoulder replacements.
His practice philosophy focuses on an individualized approach tailored to helping patients return to the activities they enjoy. Dr. Herron places a strong emphasis on optimizing non operative treatment options when appropriate, and maximizing nutrition to support recovery and improve outcomes.
Dr. Herron earned his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV, where he graduated with honors. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Herron furthered his expertise through a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Fellowship at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia in Richmond, VA.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Herron enjoys watching sports, staying active, and spending time with his wife and young daughter.
