Dr. Mark Lapp is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon at Orthopaedic Surgical Associates. Dr. Lapp’s practice covers the breadth of orthopedic spine surgery. His areas of expertise include complex spinal reconstructive procedures, revision surgery, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgery, and minimally invasive spine procedures. He has a broad background in caring for non-operative and surgical spinal disorders in adults and children.

Dr. Lapp was born and raised in New York. He attended college at the Johns Hopkins University and graduated with honors from The State University of New York School of Medicine at Stony Brook. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine followed by a fellowship in spinal surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Lapp served as Chief of Adult Spine Surgery at Tufts-New England Medical Center prior to moving to the Merrimack Valley to create a center of excellence for the spine. He has been in practice in the Valley since 2001.

He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tufts University. He maintains an active research interest and has presented papers at the Scoliosis Research Society, the North American Spine Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Lapp lives in the Merrimack Valley with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys staying active through skiing and biking.
